I think this has been discused before, but I can't remember what anybody has said. Anybody ever tried these?

Just do a search, there were a couple of people that answered you that last time you asked, at least I think that was you. Anyway just put in kerry king emg's in the search and the thread will pop up.

I think someone else asked, or maybe it was me, my memory sucks. Either way all I remember is noone had tried them. Consider me checking back in.

Well search again, because at least one person had tried and recommended them.

I had this set, they are nice. I prefer the Gibson Tony Iommi over the EMG sound.. The EMG's are tight and clean for recording, but just a touch sterile sounding. EMG's perform best with a high gain tube amp cranked.

Tony does have a great tone. The sound in question which brings me to the KK pups is "loud as all holy hell." Otherwise I'd be content with an un-messed with Gibson.

Perhaps I should make sure it's ok to bring back an old topic before I make people scan over a half inch of computer screen that they might not take an in interest in.

You can absolutely bring back an old thread, there's no problem with that. The only reason I said to do a search is because I just want to make sure you get as much information as you can.
