This is a little acoustic song I wrote when I was with a girl a while ago. The relationship ended before the song, (not that the relationship was short, just bad timing) I've always wondered whether to leave it as an acoustic atmospheric song, or extend it into a full band shin-ding.

I kinda like it short, but I feel it has potential to be developed....

BTW this is a rough one take acoustic lark.

extend it a little. maybe one more verse. im sure there's enough about this 'kate' that you could elaborate on more to justify more.

musically it would work purely acoustic. lose the base and the clean electric guitar, and just put either an acoustic guitar or piano as the backing. my opinion only, but that's how i see it

cheers

I think it would sound great with just acoustic guitar and maybe a fretless bass? I'd add a drum track with just a kick, closed high hat and rim shots, for a little flavor, and DEFINITELY extend it, elaborate just a bit more like Brummy said. Good stuff! Oh, and a bass playing just a pedal tone would be awsome!

I'd prefer to get some more opinions...how'd I hussle people onto here?

FREE PORN!!!! COME AND GET IT

pop it in the mp3 clinic with mixing questions too i guess. works for me - -different audience of people comment on different things. all together i was gonna ask all the questions anyway

I like it, but agree with adding on. I think it works well without drums, if you add drums, keep them simple and in the background. I also like the guitar and bass parts, I think ditching the electric and bass and going acoustic would take away from the song. I just listened again and I'm really diggin' it. And agree with everything I just said.

I like it alot as it is, but I agree with everyone else - extend it a bit at the end.

I also think it has potential to build up even more at the end, maybe adding drums at the second verse? (but simple drums)

yeah, it just needs another verse maybe for that big finish

good stuff man - keep it comin!
