K55 Mic Female Vocal Track

I recorded Cassie Means a few days ago with a Karma K55 Mic to see how it handled a female vox. Cassie is an up and coming singer who just turned 17. Keep and eye out for her. She's going to be a good one. This mic may be better suited for female vox IMHO. Here's a link if anyone wants to listen.

How much eq did you use?

I used very little EQ just tweaking the lower end slightly. The mic pre was a Symetrix 528E with all setting at 0 except the gain which was at 2. I was going to use a Focusrite or Avalon but decided to use a less expensive mic pre that is more likely to be found in a home studio.

i like it. kinda dark. id like to hear a bit more airy breathyness to her vox but its a very smooth sound. the little scream sounds kinda funny. i REALLY like the guitar tones.
