Hi there,
Just a little question about my K2000 (keyboard) with digital I/o and sampling option. Is there a special trick to activate the AES/EBU digital out ? It seems that I get nothing out of it...
As it is a wide subject, if anybody can give me a link to a good K2000 site, I would be very pleased !!!

Thanks.

The best K2000 site I know of is the Launch Pad. It's been around for quite a while and has lots of stuff. From here you can find links to other sites.

I've never tried to use the digital output on my K2000S so I don't know if I can answer your first question. Do you have a manual? The manual says that for the digital output to work you need to set the Input parameter on the Master/Sample page to "Analog". Also the analog input must be disconnected from any cables. (If you have a cable connected to the analog input, that signal is routed to the digital output, effectively making the K2000 an analog-to-digital converter.)

Hi JimH,
Thank you for your quick answer !

I've heard about that analog/digital switch in the Sampler section, yet I haven't try everything I hope !

My problem is that I want to connect my K2000 digitally to my pc. I just have a Behringer Ultramatch SRC 2000 which is a digital converter, so I can connect my AES/EBU K2000 in my SP/DIF SB live, or normally connect these to my optical minidisc.

That's for the theory, because actually I can't manage to heard anything going out the K2000 in the pc, although it work really fine in the other way :). The Behringer works, for it there is a digital signal. Maybe it's somewhere into the soundcard (driver, software) ??? If someone ever use a K2000 with a Behringer, I'd like to hear some good news !!!

Bye

I'm not sure if I understand. You are trying to go from the K2000--> Behringer--> PC, true? I think you're saying that the digital signal from the K2000 to the Behringer is OK. (the Behringer's input lock light is on). That would mean that there is no problem with the K2000, true?

If so, then it would seem like the problem is between the Behringer and the SB Live. I don't know anything about those, sorry. I assume you already tried changing various settings such as consumer, professional. And I assume you also went to the SB Live mixer software and enabled the S/PDIF input.

That's why I said I didn't try anything :)
I use to work with the APS EMU modified drivers: they are far better than the creative one in term of latency (working with vst instruments in Cubase for example) but the interface is a donkey !

As I have just change my hardware to Win2000, these APS are no more supported, so I had to go back to Liveware, so I will see that, It's the last trick I didn't try yet, as I have many software and hardware to reinstall.

And yes, you're right the Berhinger input lock is on. I'd rather see my old SBlive out of order than my new Behringer !!!!

Bye (hope my english is not so bad)
