Ok so I've been recording for a while now but had the good fortune of a friend whose twin brother had all the equipment and know-how on how to work everything.
Problem is he's moved and I've been wanting to get my own set up going. I recently picked up a Behringer Xenyx 1202FX to get myself started, it was really cheap and had some good reviews (along with some negative ones of course).
Anyway I just got it today and read the manual and I'm not gonna lie... I'm confused as hell.
I just wanna get this think started so I can start tweaking with it and figuring out how it works without blowing the damn thing up lol
So.. this is my starting point, I've got mics, I've got guitars, I have a Marshall 80 watt Guitar amp, a laptop and some rca cables.
Now my question is, given that I want the sound to be played out of my Computer (if possible since I don't have larger speakers and dont' want to use the guitar amp)
How can I set it up so that I can hear sound through my laptop? And if anyone is willing to give me a crash course on the Behringer 1202FX I'd much appreciate it. Thanks. BTW not sure if it'll help but my laptop runs on the Windows VISTA Home Premium OS.
