Just ordered my Yorkville YSM1i's

Balanced 1/4 jacks is a stereo shielded jack. XLR is balanced. If you have a sound card that has balanced outputs (like the echo sound cards) I suggest you buy balanced jacks. Else use the shortest cables possible.

p.s. what is wrong with turning off when you don't use them?

As it is just a tempory setup. I finally bought a stereo jack to 2 RCA cable and then 2 RCA to 1/4 inch jack. It costly only several US dollars.
I want to make sure the auto power off because I'm afraid whether it will cause damage to the monitors if I forgot to trun off it by myself.
However, I still can't make sure the voltage of the monitors (I email them but still waiting for their feedback. May be they are in public holiday). Anyway, thx for all your kindly advice.

to check the voltage, the staff told me to check the serial no. and he said that it should be 'CE' at the end of serial no. for the 230V models. However, I don't kow where to check the serial no. Any helps?
