What I want is someone to just give me some basic advice on how to record what I need to record with the equipment I have. I need to record drums, guitar, piano, and vocals. I can do two at a time with a workaround (I pan the one track all the way left and the other all the way right, so each channel appears in a seperate track on the computer, then I can pan them where I need them once they're on there - my sound card only has one input).
Now, here's what I have to work with. If you could just tell me how you'd record it - two at a time, one at a time, something else? - I'd appreciate it.
- Peavey RQ200 6 Track Mixing Board (2 mono tracks, 4 stereo track)
- Piano (has a jack for a line, so that can plug right into the mixer)
- Electric guitar (obviously has a line jack, so it plugs into the mixer too)
- 3 Behringer Super Cardioid XM18005 mics
So, how would you record this?
