Just got a HD500...setup advice/recommendations needed.

I just got my HD500 today and I love the sounds, much butter than the old Line 6 gear. However, now I'm confused about all of the different hookups availabile.

I am currently using my UX2 as a sound card only (analog out to a pair of Alesis M1Active 320 USB monitors).

The HD500 has a unbalanced outputs...the UX2, which I'm using now is balanced, so does the balanced/unbalanced thing matter with my monitors?

The unbalanced ones should be fine for short runs if you have issues you could always use the balanced XLR outs.

I have a pod XT and I believe there is a driver to use it with a usb connection, so I don't see why your unit would not have something similar instead of trying to go analog.
