Hi, this is just to tell you that I have changed my little Beh, for this MG mixer that I´m starting to love. :)
At first it looks complicated, the manual isn´t full of information about how to plug or how to use this or that, is just a general manual.
Now after spending some time learning how to use it I realized tha I need a snake to plug al the 8 sends into my Delta 1010lt ins. Is this one good???:

http://www.markertek.com/Product.as...=AUDIOCAB&prodClass=ASNAKE&mfg=&search=0&off=

Hope that the link works

Could you recommend one for the budget. The Markertek 2 meters snake is 20 bucks.

Thanks
Alfonso

I'm sure that snake will do fine as a budget item.
It's likely in the same line of quality as HOSA.
If it doesn't get moved a lot, plugged and unplugged, coiled and uncoiled ... it should last a good long time.
At $20 ... it's not like it would break the bank to replace it in a few years.
If your looking for some higher quality ... check out Canare.

I have/had a Hosa 8 channel. It's a piece of shit. The thing was fucked right out of the package. Make your own. You'll be much happier.

That´s another option. But there´s a big difference in cost. I was thinking in Neutrik and Switchcraft for plugs and RCA if I go for them I´ll buy from Markertek, but I also need to know what type of cable would be good???.

This HOSA cables are the same quality of Radio Shack???.

mee too

i just bought the 16/4 yamaha as a christmas present ...it really is a hell of alot of mixer for the$$ i too scrapped a little crappy behringer..this one blows it away....i happen to also have a 1010lt....i dont have a snake i so far am just using some individual cables i have around ...but ill need at least 8 channels set up for drum recording....
i was thinking of keeping the first 2 channels balanced from the xlr mains out to channel 1 and 2 the xlr ins on the delta....i tried to use the built in mic pres on the card ...even moved the jumpers ...but they are too loud / hot for everything i tried to record??? so im going to make the line level by moving the jumpers again .........

by the way i paid 247.00 plus tax at guitar center for the yamaha... less than mail order..."?

well it looks like I'm the only one left with my UB802 lol.....my goal is the Spirit M12 or the M8 but chances are I'll settle. lol its all good though. merry christmas yall

That's a great price.

Hey put up some mp3 of your drums when you record them with your 1010LT. I have the delta 44 with an MG12/4. I've been thinking about getting the LT. It would be good to hear how the it goes

I think you should get de LT. I got one and it´s amazing. I´m recording drums with four mics by the moment, but have plans to add mics for the toms, that will be the next step.

Yeah I've thought about it now they're getting so cheap, but I've only got 4 mics and I'm still happy with the 44

my next few pay checks will be pretty nice so I'm trying to figure if i could pull of a super jump and what the difference would be. 2 1010lts would equal the price of a 1010 but is it worth it?

That d-Trig looks interesting.

Do you need a midi sequencer for it to work? I've only got audio

From what I understand, D-trig appears to turn your PC into a drum module, where
you plug your drum pads into the sound card inputs, and D-trig is a host for VSTs
and VSTis for the sound source. I don't believe it has an onboard sequencer, so
you could just MidiYoke it to any sequencer program. If you don't have any sequencer at all, just get the free Mackie Tracktion before New Years Day.
