Etiquette does get a bit stuffy on this BBS sometimes. Personally I really don’t give shit whether somebody cross posts or not. And I agree that not everyone reads every forum. You cant blame a guy for wanting to get as much info as possible. Although he did take Bear's comments a little too seriously.

BUT.....Is it possible that people who get really pissed about that kind of thing might want to go outside and play every once in a while?

Sarcasm is funny (to me) but it doesn’t always translate well in written form.

To me, Blue Bear obviously knows what he is talking about in the world of engineering but his answers are almost always sprinkled w/ a wee bit of condescension. But once you get past that he proffers some great advice. Although ADATs do suck.

We should all be very glad that we have this kind of forum. I have learned a lot from it .

I've cross posted before. But I made a point to say that I was cross posting and offered an "excuse me" with it. But no one ever said anything to me. But if they had... My reaction would've been much different. I believe that's where things went awry.
It wasn't cross posting that started this, it was newtons reaction to Blue Bears comment on cross posting.

Cross posting was only mentioned once, and it was mentioned in a pretty non offensive way. It was the "fuck you's" and such that came in a steady barrage afterwards that became the problem. He doesn't deserve a break. He can make a new name and start over with a better attitude or burn a long painful death in BBS hell!

Wow!!! How the hell did I miss this? I love watching a rude newbie get his ass handed to him. Look guys.....I just sat here and read all 5 pages and Newton acted like a butt. Is Bear sarcastic sometimes? Sure, but that's just one of the things we love about him. He clearly gave good advice and that's what matters. As for the cross-posting.....it happens sometimes but it's pretty well understood that you shouldn't do it as a regular practice. If you're gonna join a society ( and that's what this is ) you have to be willing to accept the rules of that society and he had no buisiness going as ballistic as he did. Once he started with the fuckity fuck-fuck stuff...I knew he was toast. My opinion?..........He had it coming.
