There's no way I'd buy that mixer after that prostitute had her ass all over it. :D J/K I wonder if that's another one of those Black Market auctions.

That's too funny! LOL!!:D:D

And what's that chick doing on the console!?:eek::D;)

Looks like damaged goods to me now. Just what I want..........damaged pots and faders from some "model" leaning on a piece of equipment.

It kills me to think that he believes that photo will make it sell.

If you look closely at the photo of the young lady, you'll see her posterior is resting on a towel and that the bulk of her weight is resting in-between the faders as apposed to sitting directly on them. Her upper body is also being supported by her arms which are on the meter bridge.

As low camp as this selling tactic is, I'm sure anyone who owned that board would take pretty great care to make sure she wasn't going to damage the mixer and probably had her get into position pretty slowly and carefully.

Cheers! :)

I'm guessing she was bent over it most of the time........

What REALLY frightens me is the fact that you took the time to look that closely at that photo.:eek::eek::eek:

:D Seller has been on eBay for six years with no feedback or history, and is just now selling these big-ticket items? Not likely! It has stolen account written all over it. :D

The more I look at it, it looks like that broad is super-imposed on the mixer. I don't think it's a towel around her hips/ass. It's looks weird around there. Like a bad photoshop attempt. He probably stole the original pic from "Lowrider" Magazine and thought he'd look a "Blingin' pimp-mack-daddy" by using that pic!

HAH HA HA

Jeff, as you see I've done a bit of 'bad aditing' on your post. I just had to :p. Not in PhotoShop, but just in plain text that is. :)

OK, that fine young "owner of that board" really sure has done some 'positioning work' there. Bad job. Really bad one, that is: Cut her right hand, Left thumb is kinda' hangin in there, but about to fall down. No blood though. That's the only good thing about the whole even there.
analog aaron! ... heh heh! , lol;)

I don't know what's wrong with you guys?

Maybe you've all been huffing too much 456 or something but some of you sound like outright bigots and racists.

Is there some sort of unspoken agreement here that in order to be an analog enthusiast, one must also posses the racial ideals of your forefathers too?

There's plenty of off topic areas on this BBS to spout your ignorance and hatred. Please keep it out of here.

Cheers! :)

If you Google "netwebrecords" (the eBay id of the seller), you will find the website of an "Internet radio station". They charge money from musicians to post and sell their music online. Nothing about studio services, though perhaps there is some connection to one of the "artists" or maybe the site's creator did some studio stuff and is selling off the gear? They also have a "models" section. Who knows, maybe that's one of their "models"? May be legit, but it all does seem a bit odd.

Cheers,

Otto

Did it ever occur to you that one of her hands may have been in a different position and is why it is obscured from view? Probably not. I guess it's easier for you to assume that the photo is doctored, thinking that the only way to get a young lady into your studio is to photo-shop her into there. :p

Cheers! :)

fear not.

I like giving balance to a thread, especially one as unbalanced as this one.

You have a point.;) No bigotry or racism here though. I just don't see why people think that using a "model" would make a piece of equipment sell. It's kind of like that reel to reel a while back that was listed on ebay. One photo was of a buxom chick holding a pair of fish. Decent looking girl, but had nothing to do with vintage electronics.:confused:

I agree.

Using models, professional or not, to try and sell wares is always a bit on the questionable side but, it is a tried and true method advertisers have used ever since advertising has been with us. Some folks around here act they've never seen this done before?

Cheers! :)

I am new to this board. Is it illegal to have an auction for analog equipment and also have a picture of an african american wonem in a suggestive pose? I am wondering why Beck reported the auction to ebay? I am sure the lady is not for sale. Then I can see someone running to Ebay about this,
