Im using the omni i/o, delta 66 soundcard with sonar 2.0 XL and a C1 mic. When I plug the mic into the mic input 1 in the omni I/O and run sonar and record it only records on the left speaker and vice versa. LOL it took a bit of time for me to figure that out and I was going crazy over why my voice wasnt coming out good on the C1 but it was cuz it was recording on one speaker.

Anyway Im pretty sure its standerd process to switch the mic to the mic input 2 to dobule my voice but is there any way to make sonar record on the right speaker while my mic is in input 1? Also should I switch off my Omni's power everytime I switch the input in case theres a chance of damaging the mic while swiching with the power on?

I'm not familiar with Sonar but it seems that you're recording to a stereo track instead of a mono track. There should be a way to change that in the software. It has got nothing to do with the Omni itself.

yeah. its on your software. you gotta go to record mono - then like, Input 1L (1st input, Left part of the stereo). then 1R would be 2nd input on your delta. 2L = 3rd input. 2R = 4th inpunt.

That's just how it works. haha.
so think of them as 4 mono tracks - and if you want input 1 and 2 to be stereo (like, your L/R coming from your mixer) - then just pan them hard L/R after they are on the computer.
