what a cool song is this a change of style for you?

whatever you have done here i like it a lot, it has very good what i call:

"uniform continuality" which is something i myself struggle a lot with, which makes me kind of jealous and if went out drinking i'd probably punch you in the face but make it be in a friendly way because of this.

basically it means you could nicely produce a whole album of songs in this genre with this production and it would nicely fit into a "uniform continuality" kind of like so you can say "that's my album of:......"

hearing me?

i really like it , i did not expect that this song would sound like this.
it's a punk classic.

i'm suspecting it has a lot to do with the hair change on your picture, and is a genral overall re-identification, good one too! in many ways rock is generationally dead..

i know what is rock? well I say to that:

what is A rock, the answer, minerals from the earth.

think about it.

no pissing i really like this change!

Lol. Thanks for all that. I guess I'm a pretty big dude, so I wouldn't recommend you trying to punch me in the face unless I get to hit you back. :D

I've been trying to write more stuff, and this is about my 5th or 6th original in about 6 months. I'm trying to get 11 or 12 originals that i'm happy with to make my own little CD. If you go to my soundclick page.... http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=592804 .....the others are in there if you wanna hear em. They're all pretty similar with a few leaning more towards punk-rockabilly and a few more hard-edged. It's no change of style though. I may have Ace in my avatar, but punks been in my blood for over 20 years. I've seen the Ramones 6 times. :D

ONLY 6!
I've seen 'em 5 and I'm an antipodean (1st time was July 1980 - late starters down here - even Talking Heads had toured before the bruddas)!
I like the avataar - almost a female side of Ace with Johnny's hair!

you've done it now.
you went and did it, dint cha?
you done did out did yerself.
i don't know ifn i should laugh or cry.
oh me, oh my.... i'm cornfused.

Excellent Greg - lots of jump in this one. She sounds like a sweet girl!

I already commented on this, I'm sure of it. But then my internet died as I was sending it.

Anyway, I said something along the lines of "Fucking great tune". Everything sounds great, even your shitty cymbals". :D :D :D

I'm noticing a theme with your stuff; beach punk. This Kentucky boy had to look at map to see where Katy is... Looks like within a reasonable drive to Gulf.
I like but maybe a bit too Ramones'ish... Borderline socially acceptable. Would suggest raunching it up a bit, maybe a hardly audible layer of chicken bones in disposal; but you're years ahead of me on mixing/production stuff.

Lol. Thanks dude. I think the chorus is obviously pretty Ramones-ish. They are indeed a huge influence of mine. I wanted it to be kind of light-hearted and "poppy" while still packing some energy.

And I'm about 1 hour and 15 minutes from the Gulf. I go fishing just about every weekend. Gas prices be damned!

Updated mix in the original link. I compressed the overheads slightly to tame the cymbal wash.
