I bought my J-station over a POD because of the bass amp included. I like the Modern setting with no effects. Anybody else use this setup? I have a Joemeek VC3Q, which I haven't tried in the signal chain. Any recommendations on using the Joemeek instead of the JStation compressor?

ive gotten very decent sounds going only thru the J-Station with its compressor and going only thru the VC3Q, but ive never tried both together...i like simple signal chains.....im not saying it wont work...just try it.....

bass / JoeMeek / J-Station

I got a nice bass sound with my JoeMeek by using the EQ judiciously (I have a J-bass and prefer a round McCartney or Wailers sound) and very carefully setting the compression release in time with the song to produce a throb.

It sounded interesting, and was fun to play because the compression backed off just as it was time to hit the next note. Of course, I love a heavily compressed Beatlesy sound so this might not be for everyone.

What, you guys are using the ANALOG outs on the J-Station?

The whole point of the J-Station is to have S/PDIF outs going straight into the card. No preamp, no junk, no extra A/D/D/A conversions.

Modify your signal with plugins or the effects native to the J-Station.
