damn straight!!and all the other originators that just used one mic,and played.which by the way ,when i mic the drums in my big tall ceilinged hard wood floor ,think i can get a decent sound provided i use the right mic(this is a stupid question,as i write this i realize, you guys never seen the space, don't know what drums ,what mic)?iwill buy a large diaphragm mic(undecided what)i have a digital 8-track(boss br-8 for now)i want two tracks for drums ,i will record them alone,no bleed through of anything else, the ceilings are about 20-25 feet high, abot 25x40 feet in width and length, minimal furniture, wood floors.simple wood trap kit.how about one large diaphrgm and one good condenser mic?one up close and one up high,i am not looking for big time record production.i want it to sound like a set in a good room.i have done this in a smaller space carpeted, with one dynamic mic, straight into a tascam 4 track, and got a wonderful crisp sound all drums sounded equally loud, noything cancelled anything out when playing back.please ,suggestions?
