hi guys,
I record at home in my small bedroom studio, I don't have a bad set up, I use a boos br800 as my interface and record all my electric guitars and bass using the cosm effects in the br800, I have a studio projects b1 and audio technica at2035 LDC, I hook up my mic to the br 800 and switch on the phantom power in the br800 and record either my vocals or acoustic guitars into the mic, I use the compressor on the br800 and the eq.
So here's my question, If i was to get the joe meek 3q which is a mic pre with optical compressor and 3 band eq, and put my mic into this and then hoock up to a line input on my br800 which is my interface would this be ok to do and would I get a better signal through the joemeek mic pre even tho I'd still be sending the signal through the br800 to my DAW?
