BBC Radio 6 has this program called "Dream Ticket," where they cook up an bunch of selections from live performances in their huge archives dating back many years. Tonight there's a Jeff Beck Group concert from 1972. It's a bit sloppy -- they kind of mess up "New Ways/Train Train" -- but there are lots of moments of Beckian brilliance. The mix is not great -- Cozy Powell's drums are buried and Max Middleton is too) but Beck and Bobby Tench (vocals) are nicely up front. I'm listening to it now. So far the nice surprise was a rendition of the Bill Withers song "Ain't No Sunshine."

If you don't want to sit through Jonathan Richman, Johnny Winter, and the Cocteau Twins first, there's a "Skip 5 minutes" button and if you hit it right at the start you'll land right on the announcer's intro to Jeff Beck's part of the program.
