JBL 6208 monitors

Hi there!

I am currently looking for cheap yet good pair of active monitor speakers (like many here on the board...). I'm from Germany and now I've found an offer for a pair of JBL 6208s for 660 DM, which would be about 300 US$. It sounds unbelievable and I fear it's just a kind of misprint on their site, but anyway: Can anyone tell me about her/his experiences with these speakers? I found this article in the net:

Did anyone here have similar problems?
 
So I bring up this thread again, cos no-one's answered it yet.... *sniff* .... anyone with any experience concerning the 6208s?!?!?! Someone?!?! ANYONE?!
 
JBL USED TO BE standard nearfields in major studios worldwide, but in recent years they have not kept up with current technology. In addition, you are not going to get "cheap yet good" actives, period. When it's all said and done, you have to listen to the speakers through your gear in your listening enviornment.
Take a look at Genelec, Event 20/20 BAS/and the Mackie actives.
