I want a composition software similar to these. I tried a Boss Jamstation but found the demo of Jammer Pro 5 to be more intuitive. I also looked at the demo of BIAB and wasn't comfortable with it. But I want some input from those of you who have used either of these or another similar software. They are a bit pricey but cheap compared to the Jamstation. The Jamstation sounded a bit more realistic but the interface sucks. The learning curve is way too long. I found Jammer Pro 5 much easier to figure out.
I intend to use it to construct backing tracks for guitar practice and perhaps a bit of songwriting.
Thanks for any input you can offer.

I've been using BIAB since forever, and I tried a version of Jammer once that was bundled with a soundcard, and like it less. BIAB seemed more musically sensible and more flexible overall. The interfaces of both looked like they were designed by visually-challenged programmers (who cooked up all those icons for all those buttons? Yeeech...).
