Which thread, Ken? I assumed it was one that you started, but I don't see any.

It's W.I.S.C thread... Been there to spread my 2 cents... guess I'm broke now :D

Sorry Mike, I forgot we turn off the midreading functions around Christmas every year. :) It was WISC's thread.

It`s been a struggle for a while now James.

Well, that would explain there not being a toki thread. :D

A little too much reading for me at the present moment - and more importantly, midi is not my strongest suit. I'll take a look at it though, when my brain is a little less clouded with cognac, but I would say James and acidrock are the two midi experts here.

You might want to PM acidrock, since James has already chimed in.

OK, I gave it a try. The only issue I could see is that I think he needed to enable input monitoring. However, I don't use any external MIDI devices (except a virtual drum kit), so I'm kinda flying blind here. As I said last night, acidrock might be more helpful on this one.

Boy,reading that thread fried what little brain I have left.
I don't know any thing about sound fonts and Sound blasters, except that they'll give you headaches in the long run.
The suggestion to get a WDM supported card seem the best, move on.

I`m glad it was a simple issue. Just a switch on the software. I`m not familiar with the layout of S3, cool that they put the switch there but I didnt know. Thanks for checking it out, he had been wrestling this for a good long time before holding up the flag. Cigar goes to Mike :)

Yeah, I did think of that... :o But I thought running the audio engine turns the input monitoring on! DOH! My bad... :p :o :D

I didnt know they had made it faceplate accessible in S3. Its a blanket option setting in 2 and 2.2. It is a cool idea though, indi mutes for input you don`t want to monitor.

The answer was way too simple.

I click that damn input enable button every day.
Sometimes the hardest questions are the ones with the most obvious answers.
The assumption that it was midi related put people off the trail though...
