We ran out of time the other night to record...and Jaimee's at orchestra campt this week.... So looks like my next post is gonna' have to be me....sorry, lol.

She wants to go to a private music university in Nashville in 5 years, so she at least THINKS she's serious about it. She's gonna' have to learn to wait tables if she ever wants to be a real musician, IMHO, hehehehe. Thanks.

bdbdbuck - Thanks man...the more we do, the less we seem to do, ya' know? Life's getting busy. Anyway, she's a big Emmy Lou fan (no shit, she really is)... Emmy Lou does some backup vocals on some Patty Griffin tunes, and every since Jaimee figured out who it was, she's been on a musical quest to get everything EMH has done for the past 20 years. We even saw her in Austin last year, lol....NOT a lotta' 12 year old girls there. :D

Well, once again Jaimee shines. She could have sung that without the mic. Man she has a strong voice. Keep em coming proud papa.

hey don't tell Jaimee this but i like the way she sings better than patty griffin. if she did a whole cd of patty griffin songs (sounds like that wouldn't be a problem for her motivationally) i'd buy it.

somehow i think i'm going to be buying her cd's someday anyway :).

This just goes to prove that the performer is greater than the recording media. :)

That was excellent, and would have been if it was recorded on an old cassette recorder. You can hear the power in her voice. Great song too. You have one talented offspring there man. That was beautiful. I can only pray that my daughter will have a voice that good some day. If she does, I will be gushing uncontrollably every time I hear it.

i downloaded the original off kazaa, and i like the 12 year olds version better.
 
Wow, what a voice. She's got lots of power and emotion. And she plays guitar too? I have a daughter that sings too, so I know how proud you must be. VERY GOOD!

Guys, I appreciate it a ton. Kind of a vanity post, lmao, I know. I have to scoot (acoustic gig in Houston), but I wanted to say thanks for Jaimee...and for me too, I guess.
