Hello I just bought a used J-station and it doesn't have the power supply. Does anybody know where to get one or even a generic one?

you could also buy a multi adapter from walmart or someplace like that - just make sure you set the polarity and voltage correctly.

Not unless that adapter is an AC to AC adapter. Adapters sold at WalMart are AC to DC adapters, these will destroy the J-Station.

oops! my bad - I thought it used a typical walwart type thing.

Radio Shack has a pretty good wall wart selection - I especially like their mix-n-match approach to the cables. Dunno if they have AC boxes too, but worth a check.

The J-Station drains 13 Watts. At 9V that's almost 1.5 Amps. That's a lot. Generic wall-warts that can deliver 1.5 Amps aren't the cheap ones.
Trying to get a hold of an original J-Station PSU may well be the best thing to do.

By the way, I really like my J-Station for recording. It's not nearly as popular as the PODs, but it does a wonderful job for me, and I push it hard with a variety of guitars. I'm getting solid sounds, with minimal background noise, in a variety of styles from clean to growl, and the manual's actually clear and helpful. IMO, it's a steal for the dropping (discontinued) price of $100-150--if you're in the market, check it out before they're gone.

I also really like their pc interface. It's very easy to use.

You can also use the jstation to send generic midi data (so you can use it as a knob controller for reason, etc)

I just tracked with mine this evening. I am still experementing, but so far I love the Hot Rod (Mesa Boogie MKI) and the British Twin (Vox, although it doesn't sound much like the real McCoy). The Rock(SVT) bass patch is very nice in certain circumstances.

For $99 at MF, it was a steal.
