the man is gone and i for one want to thank him ,for being a rebel a country gentleman and a forefather of rock and roll ...because of him along with my grandpa i got the desire to learn guitar...the first song my grandpa taught me was folsum prison blues it was probably the one constant we shared ...and now my son who is ten years old is even a bigger Cash fan than i ever was the legend will live on ......peace

The legend will DEFINATELY live on. You cant tie Johnny down to any one style because he did it all and did it well. He WAS country, folk and rock and roll. I love Johnny Cash and I will miss him dearly. This one goes out to all those who love true American music because thats what Johnny was...

Yeah, John had a unique sound. No one could do his material because it was written for him. I liked his approach to music. He kept things simple, basic and added a certain mystique to everything he did.

In a genre of limited talents and whining songs about 'poor me,' John made country music bearable.

I will miss hearing his newest efforts, but his legend will indeed live on forever...Bert
