WHAT DO YOU THINK ARE THE BASICS EVERY HOMESTUDIO SHOULD HAVE?

Ease up comrade!

The basics are:

1) cold imported beer
2) rolling papers
3) BIC lighters that have never been exposed to crack heads.

Use your imagination to fill in anything I've left out.

We covered this pretty throughly last week.

WTF EXACTLY is your question?

Read some more and come back when you can formulate a question that has an actual answer.

Hey C7sus, didn't your welfare check come this month?...

No need to take it out on someone just asking a question...

If you dont like the question, dont fucking answer it...

:)

Kelly, you gotta understand that videodrone asked the same question here, a week ago. The same question. (well, maybe slightly differently formulated).
So, we kinda feel like a broken record here.
I mean, sure there are tons of people around re-asking the question "what's the best mic for $200", but those are usually DIFFERENT people and with longer intervals than just 1 week.

c7sus - uhhh, calm down man, geez lets not turn this into a pissing contest. its lame and a waste of time.

I reasked the question because in my previous thread, It was posted that I didnt ask the question right because I didnt ask what BASICS were for a studio were,

So I decided to ask IYO what you thought the basics were, I still got teh same answers so it looks like it didnt matter anyways but im glad i posted this because it showed kinda a immutire side of c7sus that I never noticed.

Now I dont mind comments like, you need cold beer and dank for a studio and stuff like that, becasue its just people on here having harmeless fun,

Also I have nothing against anyone on this forum, not even you c7sus, But I come here to learn and to feed my thirst for knowledge, not to argue about who smells more or who eats poop. and some of my questions may be dumb and some may not be, but this is a public forum for us to share information.

I dont think this forum has room for childish behavior, save that for the playground.

Hey, I gave you legit answers LAST WEEK! If you can't figure it out then that's your problem. Everybody that answered your question LAST WEEK gave you ALL THE ANSWERS TO THIS STUPID QUESTION.

Like I said earlier, READ SOME MORE AND FORMULATE A QUESTION THAT ISN'T SO OPEN-ENDED AND HAS A LEGITIMATE ANSWER.

Why should people waste their time trying to answer questions that don't have an answer?

Your "question" got answered last week. So quit wasting bandwidth with stupid, repetitive questions.

In your case, the first thing you're gonna need to get is a "clue".

Hey kelly,

SUCK MY DICK PUSSYBOY!

This stupid question was covered LAST WEEK SHITHEAD.

And Videodrone, I mean WTF I say.

FORMULATE A QUESTION THAT HAS A FUCKING REAL FUCKING ANSWER AND COME ON BACK.

Anybody that asks such an open-ended question obviously needs to do some more research.

But kelly, your head is too far up your punk ass to notice that.

I'm a Pussyboy AND a Shithead?....YOU are a Poet...LOL

Ooooooo... and I'm also a Punkass...:p

Yup, someone definitely didn't get his welfare check this month...:D

P.S..... C7sus, in the real world I would snap you like a fucking twig....

You have a nice day....;)

video, you're (virtually) repeating the same questions which only mean...
You must be a (gasp) singer who wishes to self produce!

Seriously, if you go to www.sospubs.co.uk/search and enter "back to basics" in the search field, there's a fine series of articles for you to study. In addition to the wealth of articles on that site, if you go to www.studiocovers.com you'll have yet more to investigate.

As for the rest of this thread, nothing here that couldn't be resolved with a few free beer's and pizza's-video is paying of course. :)

Hey man, try not to involve us in your homosexual fantasys -

and if you really must wack off imagining some guy on your dick, just keep it to yourself ;)

O.k. Videodrone. I cannot let your precious thread turn into a Homo Recording Dot Cum fest, so I'll jump in.

You'll need a recorder. (good DAW's are Akai DPS16, Korg D16(00), Yamaha AW16G/AW4416, Korg D1200, Tascam 788 )

You'll need some monitors:
M-Audio BX8, Tannoy Reveal Active, Yorkville YSM1P. (all around $450-550 per pair ACTIVE)

You'll need some mics:
Shure SM57, Sennheiser MD421 and maybe a cheap kick mic like a AT Pro 25.

condenser mics: Studio Projects B1/B3, Marshall MXL 603 (for overheads or acoustic stringed instruments)
and maybe an outboard pre to provide phantompower and cleaner gain (M-Audio DMP-3 $199 2 channels)

You'll need a good compressor. FMR RNC. nuff said.

add some headphones, maybe a good outboard multi-fx (Sony DPS-V55M, TC M-One XL...), instruments ofcourse, cables, mic stands, (Mogami, Canare, Tasker, Belden or Blue...)

and then you're ready to rumble.
