Coop,

Nice little ditty! I can almost hear the orchestrated version in my head. It's like this is the MTV unplugged version. Goes to prove that sometimes a simple song can be just as enjoyable as something with 30 parts and months of work. Great job!

The recording could use some cleaning up and refinement, but other than that, kudos! :)

Cheers

Thanks for checking it out. Dam, I can only make simple songs, one day I will make a complicated song! Strings now that would be a dream.

I was supposed to be studying but coudn`t so yeh it is kind of messy.

Thanks

Very good.....you have a very distinct voice, which is good......The whole tune kinda reminds me of a Nick Drake type song....Ever hear of him? if not, check it out....Who needs all six strings right?

A long time ago, when I first began to play, I played this guitar that was missing the high e string for a solid year straight...It was interesting though because I learned to make up for the missing string by playing it's parts on the lower strings only further up on the fret board......and I kinda taught myself or at least learned the layout of the fret board that way much faster I think...all because of a missing high e...Anyhoo, that's besides the point.....You've got something here...It could be recorded over and recorded better.....You could probably benefit from using a pop screen and filtering out the silibance and maybe doing some experimenting with micing techniques for the accoustic to get a better sound....Not that it is bad..it just could be better and you have a nice template to work from here.....You could add things like strings but I wouldn't make it too complicated...I think it is almost sufficient on it's own with just guitar and vocals...

Good song man BTW, so what is the "live wire" anyway?

You sound like that guy John Ondrasik who sings under the guise "Five for Fighting" .You have a unique voice for sure.

I agree with rbw87. You have a really nice voice. I thought the song was really good. Strings would be cool but I wouldn't add to much. Some songs are beautiful in simplicity :)

not only does the song flow, it breaths quite naturally thanks to your arrangment. Nice recording.

If you've the time and inclination, I'd try and make a full/bloated version of this one. Throw a full drum kit in (live, loops, machine, whatever is at hand), throw a stronger lead git in, throw a bass line in, throw a prevolent back up vox track in, a synth/string track in. Whatever is at your playing and tracking disposal. The song doesn't need it but, I think it would be fun to do and hear. If this were my baby, I'd play dress up.

Very cool tune.

Theron.

Good wake up call

Thanks ever so much for checking it out.

Nave - Don`t know who Nick Drake is but I checked him out on a website. I`m better looking! Nah, I will here him later if I can. Its wierd I have been playing without that high E for a bit now and I went to play a friends and couldn`t. My hand went spaso! I need a new guitar desperately. The recording of the guitar was a first take so sure it could be better. Is a pop screen for vocals? to stop hickups. What do you think live wire means?

rbw87. I want to find out who John Orrasak is too. Cheers for listening

Sammander. Glad you liked it. A complicated song should still sound good simple right?

Theron. Glad you think it breaths. Cheers for listening to it. I would love too do it up in a nice dress but I have no clothes. Just have a boss smartmedia studio. I can hear in my head what I want to do but well. I am trying to figure out a demo of fruity loops. That will be the next step for me. Your right though. Thanks for your thoughts.

It sounds better second time round

Cooper
