i have music i wannaput vocals over. i have a shure mic. i used to use a tascam us428 at a friends house but now im setting up my own stuff. i need to transfer the beats from the triton to my pc. can anyone help me with what i need? and what software would i need? thanks for the help.

This really should be in the "Newbies forum".

You need:

• A computer
• A soundcard
• Cables to go between your computer/soundcard and Triton
• Recording-software: Sonar or HomeStudio (let's face it, you are in the Cakewalk forum )
• Time to practise...
• Money to buy the above...

add a preamp/DI box to that list, and software for dynamics processing. Ultrafunk is a good place to start. If you've got big cash, then go with Waves.
