$39.00 worth of sticky-shed when barnd new Quantegy is only $5.00-$10.00 more (depending on where you but it)?

(EDIT: Gads! It's 1/4" tape which is actually less brand new than what that ended at.)

I'm almost (not quite yet) ready to recommend not buying any tape from eBay at all.

I sometimes wonder if decades of living and breathing recording can really be imparted to new comers through a text-based forum. The details of, “This box style” or, “That date” or, “This price” and, “Yes, tape is still made new” yada, yada, yada… maybe that’s too much to ask for people to remember.

Plus the Internet is so overpopulated now you could walk into a room naked “figuratively speaking” and not be noticed. Too much information is as bad as not enough. Hmmm… 'don't know.

Good examples of questionable and outright ridiculous auctions, Tim.

I personally see no reason 98% of the time to do the eBay thing when it comes to tape, especially now that it is readily available factory fresh from legitimate parties. Ok, so you pay a bit extra but it's well worth it IMHO. :)
