i have this mic and I like it for the most part. The only issue is that it possesses a midrangy quality that can be a bit harsh at times. i'm a rock n roll guy and I suppose I'm looking for a mic that's a bit more warm sounding. My preamps consist of RNP and a joe meek vc1. Any thoughts on mics that possess less of this midrangy flavor and will warm up the voice a bit. I've experimented with proximity effect, etc. and still can't quite get what I want. any thoughts would be helpful. oh yeah, the room I'm recording in is fairly quiet with owens corning 703 on the walls.
