How to do it? I'm trying to isolate this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_drspegRrA glenn did an amazing job on his bass, and I want to hear just the bass. How can I do it? I heard that DAWs can play the center chanell, and basses are usually placed in the center of the mix. Is this possible?

I think you'd be looking for some kind of mid/side processor.
I've never used one but I think it's meant to allow you to adjust information which is common to left and right.
That'd usually be main vocal, bass, snare etc, but it might be enough to let you hear the bass a bit more clearly.

Summing to mono is the center channel. But you can't just isolate the bass... It'd be like trying to extract the eggs from an already-baked cake.

Yeah, I don't think theres a way to just isolate the bass. Sometimes I wish there were though.
