Hi,
I currently have a Tascam 1804 and an ISA 428 which are linked via ADAT. My mic is a Shure KSM 32 and most of what I record from the outside is vocals and acoustic and electric guitar in addition to a Kurzweil K-2500 that I may bring in sometimes. Otherwise I'm using mostly virtual instruments inside Sonar 9 PE.
Would I have any advantage in replacing these two with an RME Fireface 800?
My goal is to improve the overall sound of my recordings. Also, I need to record mobile. I have a four month old and she and my wife (especially my wife) wants me to be where they are as much as possible.
