I have a boss br 532 digital multitrack running into the line in on my sb live card. I essentially am using the 532 as a preamp and recording with acid pro 4. Is this just stupid? Am I negating the quality of the the boss's sound by recording with the sb live. What is a good alternative. I also have a gt-3 which can line out

thx

I would record on your BR532, get the .wav converter from Boss' site, and get yourself a card reader and convert the files in the computer, then you can arrange in Acid. If my memory serves me correctly, you can only transfer 2 tracks at a time though. At least that was the case when I had a br8.

That's not a big deal though, just do 2 at a time until you get them all in there.

That way your information is only getting converted once, and it should sound better.

I would never have any Creative product in my signal path for my music.

it makes sense--I kept recording and monitoring from the br-532--which sounded great and then playback onthe cpu was, lets say a bit inferior, must save for some monitors, and a new sound card, and a midi controller, and sonar, -----looks like I'm never moving out of mom's house.
