hi there, i have a small home studio and my rig consists of pro tools m powered 7.4 cs3, m audio 1010lt, mackie cfx12( i do know it not an ideal mixer for recording), xp service pack 3, 4 gigs of ram, intel core 2 duo and intel DG31RQ motherboard.... this rig might sound very amateur though it's serving my needs and the clients of course... lets come to the main objective here: just wanted to know i have a primary drive that has the OS installed and an audio drive thats 500GB's, as i start the recording some times it give me errors like DAE error forgot the error code though, sometime cache size errors, and playback errors, i tend to use virtual instruments for drums and some times guitar rig 3/4. can u suggest me as i think it is because of the System that i have for recording... if so what would be the ideal configuration for a basic home studio rig in a budget..... kind help will be appreciated..thanks
