Or something else? Attached is a very brief clip of the noise in my recently modded B1 that's driving me crazy. Advice is greatly appreciated.

Sounds more mechanical. Almost like another source is connected? Not like the RF interference normally heard.
 
That is the same noise I get when my second (internet) computer's audio output is enabled on my Mackie Big Knob while recording computer is running through it also. Not sure if that helps any...
 
I kind of wondered if it didn't sound mechanical. Thanks guys. Gonna keep tinkering.
 
Well hell. It's something to do with running off the battery. When I plug in the power supply to my MBP, it's gone. Oh well, at least it's a cheap easy fix.
