Is this normal?

AMD K6-2 400MHz, 128MB ram, AGP G200: Two stereo tracks played back, three effects on track two and I start getting drop outs.

WHEN THIS HAPPENS TO ME IT'S BECAUSE I HAVE OTHER PROGRAMS OPEN SIMULTANEOUSLY.

IF NOT HIT THE WAVE PROFILER ONCE IN A WHILE.

A good way to reset your wave profiler as suggested by an e-mail I recieved from Cakewalk, is to delete:
cw9audddx.ini and ttsseq.ini in the cakewalk dirrectory. Then restar cakewalk. Especially if you change or update your soundcard drivers.

Anyway, I have nothing running in the taskbar and everything tweeked, and I can't believe things should be this slow. Maybe it's time for a re-format or motherboard update.
