Hey guys.
Just been recording some piano as we speak. Just wanted to see if this is all alright,
So im recording the piano, (its actually of a VI which im recording onto 2 tracks)
Its a rather dynamic piece, the meters are peaking around -5, avrage -10 with the odd clip at 0 and the quieter parts are around -15. Which is all good, im giving myself plenty of head room. When Im recording, on the louder parts the waveform on the track is so big its cutting off. I know the levels are ok, I just want to make sure the fact that the waveform isn't going to come back to haunt me as so to speak. if you know what im talking about?
To sum up.
Meter levels fine, Waveform peaking, OK?
