Is there such thing as too much studio foam or sound treatment in a vocal booth?

If so where is the fine line?

common problems?

thanks

oh yeah- working with a small space (bout 4X3- 9ft tall) not doing anything "screamy"- if anything softer voice-over shit.

Well, foam is going to mostly kill high frequency reflections, but it won't do much for bass. Thus, you could end up with a "muddy," lifeless sounding track. The fine line is when it sounds bad.

Right now I have most of the treatment at head level- above my head and below my waste is where the boomyness is coming from as I only have a couple of chunks there...tracks arn't coming out bad...I just want to have the option to sit down or stand up and since the room is so small i don't have room for an adjustable chair. Just wondering if adding more below waste level would effect my sound while I stand. I should have clarified. Thanks...
