Did the Fostex A8 use any type of built-in noise reduction?

DBX or SR?

I thought that album sounded good.

My need to convey trivia compels me to note that the A8 had Dolby noise reduction. I don't know exactly what flavor though.

I'm pretty sure it's Dolby C, actually. Nothing very fancy anyway. And yeah, the A-8 sounds good. Amazingly transparent for being a budget tape recorder.
