I need a second mic. and Musiciansfriend always adveratizes(sp) this item saying "a professional stage and recording mic." But its only 10 or 11 bucks, I dont need a recordiong mic, but is this a halfway decent mic?

Get 2 of these for when your friends want to borrow a mic. that way when you get them back a messed up you will still be friends.

I use it for a talk back mic. it even sucks for that!

I wipped out mine for a talkback mic, 2 minutes later i wipped out my ev. For $10 you get what you pay for. Useless for recording. Maybee good for backup or something like that.

Where's Downside when you need him?

Now THIS is a thread where one of Downside Studios' suggestions about what to do with (where to put) a microphone might be appropriate.

I had a few that I ended up giving to friends as they were too cheap to get anything but extremly cheap Rat Shack mics. The Nady's were better than thse five dolla r mics they had(cheap sob's who call themselves musicians, yeah, right). To mess around in a garage or basement they will do the trick but if you want to play in front of a audience spend $80 and get a SM57.Right now MF is selling the Starpower with a cable for $11 so you could always use the cable when you get a better mic.
