is the Marshall V67 gold a lot better than the standard??

as far as I know there is only 1 V67....the letter behind it only refers to the color......
 
i typed v67 into samash.com and it came up with a v67b and a v67gold. ?
 
The V67G runs about $179.00 - $189.00. It's green with a gold mesh. The V67b is black on black and runs about $119.00 at Sam Ash. The V67M is also black on black and sells at Mars Music for $99.00.

All three mics are pretty much sonically identical.

Go to Mars and save the $$$.
 
the 67 is the better mic, but you have a C1 so I wouldnt worry about getting a v67.;)

It is my understanding the V67 was manufactured in two basic styles the green and gold (standard) and the black. The black was a "limited product run" which was originally marketed as a "Mars special". This Mars V67 advertised Mogami wiring (although I don't know if this implies the Green/Gold does not have Mogami).

Other than the color (and pending if he Mogami is or is not a difference) it is the same mic - I think.
