Is the Akai EIE Pro 24-bit Electromusic Interface compatible with Protools 9?

Hey All

I'm looking to buy an interface thats inexpensive and has at least 4 XLR I/Os to record minimal drums if need be. My budget is $200 for an interface. Is there a better one out there that fits my criteria?? Will Protools 9 have a difficult time reading this interface? Or will it read once plugged in??

Seconded; i've been look at a the akai EIE and if there is anybody out there using it i'd love to hear your thoughts

Saying that, if you are concerned about pro tools compatibility i'd suggest looking at the maudio fast track ultra. i've no idea how much it cost state side, but you can pick them up over here for just over £200

Just wanted to let you know I went ahead and purchased the EIE. So far so good! Protools 9 read it without any problems! I will post how it handles as soon as I can.
