Oh, BTW, I saw him play at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, last Friday.  My impressions:
1.  Terrific place.  Hadn't been there in almost 9 or 10 years, when I bought my ex-GF a year membership for her birthday (when I thought we would, eventually, get back together.  sigh...

 )  We walked around during intermission.  You don't see intermissions at concerts much, anymore.  Too bad,
2.  Earle is a funny, and great, performer.  Not overly polished, which adds to his charm.  We-gotta-tune-up jokes were original and truly funny- something 
else you don't see much, these days!  I am going to miss his character, Harley, on "Treme."
3.  We estimated the crowd at about 1,000.  The PA rig I have may be big enough to do that size outdoor show, but we are out-classed by the big boys- the show had subs the size of small cars, towers/line-arrays, trusses and motorized lighting, and digital sound and light boards.  Ah, one day...
