it probably isn't but i'm still curious

well anyways i was looking at a few pics of it online and came across something

the model name engraved was different in the sense that on the pictures online the "SE2200A" were all in capitals
but on mine it read "sE2200a" also the packaging was different because mine was a black box (not just plain plain btw) and others weren't.

may be because i bought mine in the EU

anyway could this just be due to where it was assembled?
cause that's what i suspect

p.s here's a link to a picture of the mic but with the model in block capitals

Every picture I can find says se2200A.

Yours says sE2200a

Why anyone would want to fake such an inexpensive mic., I don't know.

It may be that sE have changed it slightly and you have an older version (or vice versa).

Personally I would ring up sE (or their agent in your country) and ask them. They will be able to put your mind at rest (or otherwise). And, if it is a fake, they would want to take action.

So ring sE and then come back and let us know the outcome - please.

like the "S","E" and "A" are all in lowercase on my mic, while in the picture in the link they're all in uppercase

hmm i'm pretty sure that's the reason ( mine being a newer/older model)

Wouldn't it stand to reason that since the company name is sE, not Se, or SE, that they would change the engraving to match the company name?

It's best not to wonder and discuss here - just ring up sE and ask them.

And then let us know the answer please.
