Is my old Quadreverb obselete?

Should I retire this unit? I have always found it difficult to use.
Where can I find some settings to utilize this unit best?

Isn't there inexpensive technology now that will blow this away?
What would one suggest?

Give me your opinions!

Thanks,

Mark

I still use mine! Not my first choice for most reverbs, nor for a clean delay, of a crappy flanger, or a silly wannabe Leslie simulator. But, I find many uses for it in mixing. Once I use my "A" processors, and I find that I need another delay, or pitch shifted delay, or a chorus, or whatever, I grab for it in a heartbeat! It still has pretty good parameter control, a variety of usable effects, and a clean enough sound.

Dig into it and start saving cool effects to use later! EVERY decent effect processor on the market requires that you tweak it a lot to get what YOU WANT for an effect, rather than those silly boxes that have little parameter control where you are more or less forced to use what the guy at the company's R&D department thought you should have for effects!

Good luck.
