I was looking for places to sell mine and my bands album via mp3 downloads. Soundclick is probably what I will use. Also, one of my bands we sent our CD to cdbaby and optted for the digitial distro pack, so it will be on Itunes and the others...

I stoped by mp3.com and it looks like they have started up a beta for an artists section. It's been along time... A real long time... I remember having my tunes on mp3.com back in 1999 even. Anybody gave it a try yet?

I think the best thing to do is have your own site. You can still have a page on Soundclick and everywhere else, but send people to your site.

I have an online store, pay-per download where I can put 10 second to 2 minute samples up, a site-wide music player, another optional music player...100mgs storage, and so much more...For 19.95 a month (You can get 500mgs for 15.95).

I know almost nothng about putting together a website, but they made it super-easy. I was able to upload and design everything in about 2 hours.

Just something to think about. Check it out here: www.bandzoogle.com (I'm just a paying customer, not a shill)

Thats actually a pretty good service... The only thing is that I think people are a bit aprehensive about buying CDs and MP3s from somebody via PayPal. Going through some big name such as itunes is security to the purchaser... Same reason I opened up a cdbaby account...

Nice site by the way... I have started my site, it the link in my sig... I can build websites fairly well and only pay about 4 dollars a month for my bandwith through godaddy... So, I don't mind building my own sites... Just want a place to sell mp3s that is well known and trusted.

You might be right about Paypal. That's why I sent my CD's to CDBABY. And I'll use a link to sell them from CD BABY. You can have a "Store" link that goes right to CDBABY. I'm just waiting for them to put them up. I'll check out your site. Good luck.
