if its worth the price what other hardware software should add to it

Guidance

Seems like an ok price, but it's not worth it in my opinion. You could build something similar for considerably less, if you were so inclined. If you're not so inclined, Carillion has a pretty good reputation - I'd rather have a Carillion machine than a Dell. That said, Dell's support has been nothing but kick ass at the office.

i think i'm leaning towards building one
let me get a comprehensive list together and do some math

thanks

ON the other hand, I would point out that

a) Carillion pc is in a rackmoutn case. these are hard to find and expensive.

b) Carillion PC does have certain features made for audio, like a VERY quiet fan. It's also optimised for audio recording.

c) It comes with a lot of good software. I doubt you would be as cheap if you sourced and purchased all the software yourself.

i'm thinking of getting a barebone system from carillon
because i do like the idea of the rackmount

plus it will be less expensive than have them upgrade the soundcard to something like the delta 1010

this is way i get to stress on which software to get now

Guidance

rackmount cases aren't hard to find... they're only $80-200 too...
you can build an even better daw than what they offer for less.. i was gonna get one of their systems but i built one myself much cheaper, faster, and even quiter ;)

all you need is some v-block and or some dynamat...i had some extra b/c i do some car stereo installs...
o all there systems are p4's too... i can get a full computer(xp2100+)$650, add more ram, get a rackmount case and maybe upgrade a few extra things for under $1200....

What!!!!!!!!

<all you need is some v-block and or some dynamat...>

What are they B bracket or something

thanks

wth are you talkin about?? do you nt know what dynamat and or v-block is???
