I have been using Kazaa since long time ....and am relatively happy with it inspite of all the fuss abt it in the media.....I have gone thru the news that Kazaa is shutting down....I just wanna know that whether there is any pinch of reality in this...I am pretty sure there is any.

Hey! You’d think I’ve all the makings of a geek! I strongly recommend kazaa for the latest softwares, happening downloads, pictures and of course songs.

Uh,, um... I don't think that a very good idea around here spidy. Hacked software is definately a no-no. Dr. Octopus and the Kingpin will NOT approve.

best Mp3 site

Kazaa is the best Mp3 site for music, you can also watch music videos… That in fact should be build in as a standard in all the types of Windows.

I prefer Amazon.com for my music. The music I listen to doesn't have music videos, so I don't care about that.
Sometimes I even go see the artist in concert and buy the CD from them, or I get it off their website.

Why are all the Kazza folks coming out of the woodwork? They appeared on at least one other forum I visit.

Looks like an Advertisement

Yeah, notice those 1 and 2 post counts. My bet is that leone, tenie, spiderman19, and cruseford are all the same guy who works for this kazaa thing.

If you "guys" are indeed legitimate, welcome to the board. :)

Otherwise, whoever you are, advertisements aren't appreciated here and you and your kazaa can fuck off.

We can only hope. Anything that encourages or allows the end user to pirate MUSIC or videos is a waste. Personally with all the people on this site trying to write music, and possibly grow into being able to sell their music via cd's or downloads, this type of thread pisses me off. The moderator needs to remove it.

Something tells me that the newbies posting in this thread are one and the same person.

What the hell for, man?

Interesting article in Wednesday's (6/5/02) Los Angeles Times re Kazaa and other such companies bailing out of the United States and England to set up shop in countries without copyright protection or enforcement. What I thought was interesting is that while arguing their basic constitutional rights in the courts for the past few years many of these companies have chosen to set up shop in countries like Iran and Iraq and other countries which have been classified as safe harbors for terrorists.

Apparently you can continue your file sharing, but it will be streamed from Iran. I also think this finally shows that such file sharing companies are just as corrupt as the music industry they've been doing legal battle with. Apparently, all their pleas to the federal courts for time to begin turning a profit and stabilize their businesses before paying anying kind of royalties was just a ploy to give them time to get out of the country and set up shop elsewhere. So much for "good faith bargaining".
