Is it "okay" to use Cool Edit now ? ?

Now that Cool Edit is "Adobe Audition" . . . is it okay now to tell people that you're using it?


Like before I always felt like people would kinda' snicker at me because all I had was Cool Edit . . . as if it were a toy or something.

But now that it's "Adobe Audition," I feel like I can say it with a sense of pride. Like "Wow, that dude uses Adobe something or other. Must be some brand new ultra-professional program."
 
Pfft, I refuse to upgrade from 2.1 to this new Adobe Audition crap...
 
Cool Edit was kinda cheesy. That's why I called it CEP or CE Pro. But now, Adobe Audition, like you say, Adobe does have a pro, no jokin around image.

for tracking live instruments with zero latency it's been the best program out there since it hit the market. Expect nothing but bad things now Adobe have got their hands on it
 
What bad things have you heard?

Audition is just a repackage of CEP 2.1 with these changes: MP3's now load automatically as 32 bit, the CD burn option is gone, and another Amplitude effect was added.

I miss the CD burning but the idea is not to let Audition become a bloated do-all application like so many others.

i don't see the point in removing the cd burning plug in?!?!
 
I don't see the point either, besides to remove bloat. It's possible there were bugs that needed to be fixed. Burning was just a beta plug in. I think Adobe like to have all their software completely bug-free before releasing it. Can you think of the last time your Acrobat Reader crashed? I can't think of 1 incident of Reader crashing for me.

Hopefully Adobe is working out the bugs, if there are any, and plans on a release of the CD burning feature again, as a plug in.
 
they should also launch a new version of the red rover...
 
you were embarassed of cool edit but where still using it :D
