hey guys!

I am confused about this product... Is DIDI 001 a sound card or what? If i get it i still need a sound card or what? I want to build a home studio and i was thinking that this DIDI 001 looks really good... I want to produce techno and hip hop music...
what do u think guys? is it worth the money it costs? or should i get something different? thank you!

I use ProTools myself but I don't do MIDI. I think you'd be better off with a MOTU or Logic setup to do what you want, especially if you plan on using a PeeCee as a host computer. Digi's MIDI support is mediocre at best, and their systems are designed primarily for Macintosh.

Just my $.02

The Digi001 is a soundcard, a breakout box with 2 mic preamps and ProTools LE.

It runs rock solid on my PC. You just to have the right one, which at this stage is an Athlon processor on VIA KT133 or KT266 chipset motherboard.

I think it is well worth the money and personally rcommend it.

People complain about the 24 track limitation and supposed poor midi capabilities, but I haven't been hindered by either of these yet.

Yes it has its limitations. Yes you can buy better. But I don't think you can get more for the $7-800 US that you can get it for.

my 2cents
