i want to make any sounds below a certin decible not exist anymore.

basicly whats happening, is when i record, i get this really soft buzz, that u cant hear untill after i have used a compression plugin, it makes the inaudible sounds audible.

is there a plugin that can help me ?

better to find the buzz and eliminate it at the source. A gate will only stop the sound till it reaches a certain level, once the gate is opened by your instrument, mic, whatever....you're letting the buzz in aswell

ahhh, thats true. although you dont hear the buzzing during those parts(while i sing)

your ears obviously have a lot of room for growing. I say eliminate the source of the buzz because it could be something really simple like an overly long unbalanced cable run or a CTRmonitor being picked up by guitar pickups or a microphone. Something like that could cost a few bucks or as little as nothing with a bit of rearanging of your gear.

There's nothing worse IMHO than hearing a gate open and close
