Magic Bag Of Sounds
i'm currently running a cheesy 2 year old emachines with an amd that has 512mb of memory. its very noisy, but i have honestly not had many problems with it. sometimes if i add too many tracks it starts lagging but its not a huge issue.
heres the write up:
------
PC Daw Based around Pentium 4 2.4GHz Processor, 1 GB PC3200 DDRam, EMU 0404 PCI Souncard w/ Digital and Analog I/O's and MIDI IO, Proteus X Desktop Synth Sampler and sound module W/ DSP and all related software and samples. 40GB Maxtor Diamond Max Ultra ATA 133 Hard drive w/fresh install of XP Pro and Nuendo comes w/ CD's. Othe features include new SOYO case and MOBO, Artic quiet cpu fan and Zalman quiet case fan, ATI AGP Video card, 19" Viewsonic Display, Logitech wireless mouse, PCI Firewire card w/ 3 firewire ports, DLINK Ethernet Card, DVD RW Drive and CD RW drive - I am also including a Microboards 4X Professional SCSI Burner for creating Master Quality CDs - SCSI Cable and termintor included and Possibly SCSI PCI card if I can find it. The SCSI Burner and EMU Card come in their original packaging - . Everything is in great shape - email me w/ any questions.
------
i emailed him and the nuendo is a crack so i'll have to reformat. the computer is actually $300 but i just ordered a midi interface for $50 that i can return since the emu has a midi input, so in my mind the computer is about $250. the 40gb harddrive is kind of lame but i'm pretty sure it will work with my vf16 so i can take it out and replace it with a huge one (i work at circuit city so its no big deal)
i've heard some complaints about pentium 4s with recording, but i'm not sure if its overblown...
